18th Century Map of Belize, Yucatan and Guatemala
Map from the 18th century shows Belize in relation to Yuctan in Mexico at the north, and the Peten in Guatemala on the west,. It is interesting to note how place names have changed. For example the original name for the island south of Ambergris Caye was Cay Corker. Today this island is called Cay Caulker.
