The Five Sisters Falls and Eco-Tourism Lodge is located in the scenic Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve. This is the largest protected area in Belize, boasting an immense Rain Forest and natural Wildlife Sanctuary. The Five Sisters Lodge obtained it's name
from the five perfectly gushing waterfalls and the numerous crystal pools that form part of this natural wonder. These waterfalls empty into the famous Privassion River, which meanders through the heart of the Forest Reserve.

The sparkling, clear water of the river, the shimmering spray of the falls and the contrasting green of the forest are accentuated by a wild display of colorful flowers of over four hundred and fifty species of orchids, palmettos and other exotic plants. The continuos flowering of these plants throughout the year produces nature's own kaleidoscope of brilliant colours and the crisp air is always heavy with a fragrant, exciting aroma.

Our cabanas have been carefully designed with local hardwoods, pimento sticks, traditional bay leaf tatched roofs and richly varnished mahogany interiors. Each cabin is equipped with hot and cold baths, verandahs and hammocks to provide
you with maximum comfort and relaxation. The Five Sisters Lodge provides full dining facilities, in-house bar, stargazing deck, and a gift shop for your convenience. After a fun filled day out, you can relax in a romantic atmosphere in a lamp lit dining room and enjoy mouthwatering Belizean and International cuisine, specially prepared by our professional staff. Our staff has been carefully trained to provide you with the best service and make your stay with us a memorable experience.

To really appreciate and enjoy all that nature has allowed us to offer you, the following must be included on your packing list: Hiking or walking shoes, River sandals, Hat, Swimwear, Sun screen, Insect repellent, Sweaters, Poncho, Binoculars, Camera and film. The days are warm and the nights cool, so bring a light jacket.

Activities at the lodge include swimming, horse back riding, stargazing and our very special guided tour into our very own medicinal nature trails. Soak up the sun on our tiny island, The Garden of Eden. Swim and relax in crystal natural pools just a stone's throw away from your cabanas.

Guided tours are offered to the most scenic natural creations in our beautiful Mountain Pine Ridge. You will be thrilled by the famous Rio Frio Caves, where stalactites and stalagmites from an erie backdrop to this ancient Mayan worship place. Rio Frio means cold river and the tingling cold water of this river flows through the caves. Then there are the Rio On Pools with cold, clear water swirling around beautiful granite boulders.

The Thousand Foot Falls offer a breathtaking view of gushing cascading water. It is like a painting which is continuously being retouched by nature as sunlight darts through the falls or as an occasional rainbow is etched in. Then of course the tour could not be complete without a trek through the ancient Mayan ruins of a lost civilization - Caracol. Considered to be ten times greater in area than Tikal in neighboring Guatemala, Caracol was once a vital centre for the Mayas. The call of Howler Monkeys can be heard at Caracol and in the misty morning, the colorful ocelated turkeys can be seen traipsing around the ruins. Visiting these archaeological parks can be a gratifying
experience and the color, sights and sounds of tropical nature are certainly there to be enjoyed. Tours are also available out of the Rain Forest Reserve to other great tourist attractions such as Xunantunich, Cahal Pech and Altun Ha ruins, the Belize Zoo, the world famous Blue Hole, the Baboon sanctuary and the Panti Medicinal Trails.

Carlos Popper, Belizean born, commenced his Five Sisters Lodge in 1991. His dream was to create an eco-tourism facility that he could share with the rest of the world. Inspired by the natural beauty of his property, he set of to design his lodge with one clear objective: to provide sustainable architecture in harmony with the natural world that surrounds us. This he has accomplished with excellence.
