When Jim Morris arrived in San Pedro in the late '80's on his sailboat "Tropical Hideaway" he knew this was where he would build his dream. And he has.

Located three miles south of the airstrip (the only pavement on the island), Caribe Island Resort (formerly known as Chateau Caribe) is a quick bicycle, golf cart or boat ride to the village. The 300 ft. dock provides an excellent swimming area, the beach is "manicured," and the fresh water pool offers an area for the professional tanners. Tropical breezes and rustling palms add to the tranquility of Caribe Island Resort.

The Sea Shells Bar at poolside serves sweet fresh squeezed Belizean orange juice along with a wide variety of exotic drinks. Breakfast and lunch are available at our own restaurant, "The Aquarium." Complimentary use of bicycles, ocean kayaks, day sailers and shuttle trips into town are available to all our registered guests. There are no handicap accessible units - all units have stairs.

Caribe' Island Resort's pleasant staff is waiting to make your stay a memorable one, whether it is an intimate catered candlelight dinner on your private veranda, or a day snorkel trip to see giant angel fish. You can cook seafood in your suite or out on the main grill.

For the diving enthusiast, Belize offers the second largest barrier reef in the world....the famous Blue Hole, manta rays, giant sponges, black coral and the endless canyon and walls. For the fisherperson, we have bonefish, tarpon, snook and permit along with blue and white marlin, sailfish, wahoo, dorado, king mackerel, snapper and yellowtail, just to name a few.

Mayan ruins, howler monkeys, rainforests, rivers, caves and waterfalls are on the mainland and perfect for day adventures. Beach barbecues, visits to other cayes, snorkeling - all available at Caribe Island Resort..

Caribe Island Resort is unique in its ability to serve a wide variety of tastes. The condominiums all view the Caribbean Sea and will accommodate from two in the Mini Suites, four in the Junior Suites, and up to ten in the Penthouses.

The decor says "Islands," with bright cheerful colors, weavings and plants. The fully appointed kitchens even have microwaves and blenders along with the ever important fillet knife for the catch of the day.

All suites feature air conditioning, ceiling fans, cable television, phones, fully equipped kitchens, queen-size beds, and private verandas. Daily maid service is of course included. We offer moorage for your boat, golf cart rentals, bicycles, and complimentary airport transfers.

Rate Information

All rates quoted in U.S. dollars; please add 7% government tax. Suite Rates are based on the number of persons indicated below. Additional persons $15.00 per night.

Booking and Deposit Requirements

A two night deposit is required within 14 days of booking or suite reservations will be cancelled automatically. Balance of total payment is due 45 days prior to departure.

Cancellations and Refunds

A full refund, less a $50.00 per person cancellation fee to cover booking expense, will be granted if cancellation is received no less than 45 days prior to departure.

50% of the deposit will be refunded for reservations cancelled 21 days prior to schedule departure date.

No refund under 21 days of cancellation.
