A Day Of Maya Medicine In Belize
The National Institute of Culture and History through the National 2012 Committee is promoting A Day Of Maya Medicine for Wednesday January 25th at the San Ignacio Hotel in Belize’s western Cayo District. The annual event brings together traditional healers and shaman from throughout Belize, especially Maya healers from the Cayo and Toledo districts for a one day forum of intensive sessions, demonstrations, lectures and networking. The event this year’s features a special presentation by well-known healer Dr. Rosita Arvigo who will speak on the life and times of revered Maya healer Don Eligio Panti.
